In reality, nothing really actually happened, everyone knew the contract was coming up for renewal and this happens every 3 years. I can see afew stop loss being triggered by all the algo traders which made the loss even bigger than it should have been. Then ppl realise oh crap I wasn't meant to sell and momentum reversed.
