At this stage they are paying a solid 27c per half divvy fully franked. That only leaves them with a yield of about 3.8%, but that is because what they provide is such a necessary service. Historically they were paying around 5-6% for the years leading up to the market carnage. Their yield has tended to hover around the RBA cash rate.
It's not the best stock in today's market if you are chasing yield.
They are one of the oldest companies on the ASX (if you count their pre-Alinta merger and split, which I do) and will be around for as long as people need energy.
Great addition to long term portfolios to provide some stability.
