    I suppose it's a matter of trusting science or not trusting science to a large degree?

    There have been vaccines produced and administered with no structured regulation or approval processes in place.
    ie smallpox, rabies, plague, cholera, and typhoid vaccines, which have saved millions of lives.
    Yes there's been a problem with a polio vaccine many decades ago but had regulation been there it would not have happened, besides science has come a long way since those days.
