There is no money in Slabs & Billets. The profit in Steel is after lots of value added processing. Whyalla Steelworks has little in the way of value adding processes. I wouldn't think BSL would be interested in Whyalla unless they could get their hands on the Iron Ore mines and get the product to Port Kembla more cheaply than their current suppliers.
