@fitfunfusion, no I think it’s the sellers that are missing the point. I too share your sentiments about having exposure to the mining sector through WIC. I am not in favour of the amalgamation, but more info is required as to who will manage the fund, will it still predominantly be in the mining sector, will the dividend be maintained etc etc. Too little info at this stage about the continuation of the investment thesis, analysis and management and if they intend to retain Dermot and the crew as managers and analysts within the fund, and intend to maintain the mining portfolio within WAM. I am heavily into WIC and this is extremely disruptive to my SMSF strategy. Will wait for further info from Geoff as to how it’s planned to assimilate the funds, what their strategy will be and what forward plans they have in place.
