Brett. Maybe I have got the scale back to front. My "42 API" for the F oil at WB goes back to early CVN announcements. Its paraffin-laden so maybe its the paraffin that slows the oils progress down, and thus 42 could be a light oil,not a heavy oil,and superior (excluding impurities) to WTI (39) and Brent (38-per Wikipedia). That would make the 35 at WB(V) and L33 a lower grade than the sandstone oil at WB. .. My clear (very clear) recollections of WB was that the oil tended to "freeze" near the surface and that the road tankers had to drive at highish speed to the refinery 3 hours away and that some early shipments either did have their cargo solidify,or came very close to it. If an API42 oil tends to solidify with lower temps.as the oil gets further away from the earths core why doesnt a 35 (heavier) oil ???.Im positive Ive seen sub-30 oils referred to as premium oils-maybe the absolute premium oils are the really heavy oils .I will start at the beginning-the very old CVN announcements and get back to you.... If the F and G oil is 42API,and if it is potentially superior (paraffin apart)to a 35 oil that would make the case stronger for attacking the sandstone regime again-the paraffin factor aside.
