ah,ah. Do I detect that we have got a poster who ACTUALLY knows what he is talking about on oil grades ? Dont you go drifting away,now ! ....Ive known for ages that my "formula" that API42 gets troublesome at 42 degreesF,and API 35 at 35 degrees F. is suspect because I know that I assumed(with no justifcation )that whoever defines/ed "API" (the Association of Petroleum Ingineers-LOL) might have used the Fahrenheight Temp.scale as part of the basis because that formula seemed to fit what CVN told us about the early problems at WB....I will ,for my own edification,go through the early CVN announcements . If 42 is a lighter oil than 35,and WTI is 39.6,then it seems that the sandstone oil could be better oil(paraffin apart) than the volcanic oil at WB,and WTI. Which begs the question as to whether a light oil "freezes" before a heavier oil (which,you would think,starts off at,say 800m,moving more more slowly than a lighter oil).Heres to L33-2,and Tuatara in the near term.
