even wikipedia can provide some accuracy(with references to reliable sources)...and reasons why the high temperatures occurred throughout history....its a combination of many things, including winds, the ocean currents, the atmoshphere
now...all these gloomy stories that the media print, is designed for one thing only...to sell newspapers... they know people just love a bad story....it sells more papers... get the pollies involved...as a pretence that they care about the people...it makes the stories even appear more plausible to the general public...
forget about the good news stories...
came across a research paper during the week...about investors...those investors with a generally pessimistic view on life and all things...are the worst investors...they lose more money than the rest... imo that sounds right...if they are always looking on the dark side...
however I believe it goes deeper than that... with so much information and misinformation that can be found on the net today...one would think that people may have too much information...more than they can handle... or is it that some people cannot be bothered spending the time on research to delve a bit deeper to find the truth...rather than take any news article on the subject as gospel... hence AL Gore and his outlandish reports, and all the other sheep that have followed him...to grab some limelight for themselves.... or the current govt minister Penny Wong...the reports used for the screaming headlines last week....are full of errors, omissions of the truth, and fantasizing... and who is responsible for that report....??? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
