Understood Bobminer, are you able to tell anything looking at the drill locations which ones may or may not be problematic or is the information too vague due to the scale of the map?
As nickel tends to be found long thin fingers of ore rather than large bulk areas there will I suspect always be a larger amount of over dig to remove it but you make a valid observation here on the surrounding dirt it’s trapped within causing dangers of collapse.
I was once in a deep coal mine and they held the roof up with very long steer caplets or wires drilled into the rock with wide washers and tell tale ends colour green orang red, these avoided the need for pit props, they cut some 50m long coal seam out held up with a line of hydronic props that walked forward after the cut by say one foot and the roof instantly collapsed behind the props, very impressive to see it.
I'm a complete novice and was only on a site visit as fun day out, was vey very deep underground and we rode the belts to get to coal face.
Only opencast mines I’ve visited was the big copper one in Mongolia the scale mind blowing and a few opencast coal ones, small in comparison.
We should be due resource upgrade soon I think and further drill results as the months tick past, be nice to see us back in the 60’s with news but it’s a tough old market at the moment, Loop.
