Do not discount the time savings and costs associated with that, not just direct cost savings. The end customer often has an interest bearing loan on the property and house being built while not living there, plus another set of accommodation costs. Savings of weeks or months off finalizing the home is a significant incentive for buyers. Same for developers - the faster its finished the faster they can potentially get cash in.
If a constructor has even the same cost but can promise to cut weeks off the time to complete, everybody benefits. Cost savings are on top of that for me.
