I use the term wireless to encompass satelitte, broadband radio, and the application you are referring to, namely a small network within a small space. This will grow in my opinion, some McDonalds restaurants now have a wireless loop. Walk in turn your laptop on, and providing you have the card your away. Security I believe will be an issue. I have turned my laptop on when out visiting some of the offices in industrial complexes and managed to get full access into other businesses LAN because they did not have a secure network.
I also have a wireless LAN here at home, run the three computors and off into the never never via cable.
Could rant on until the cows come home, but radio/wireless I believe will be the growth area.
