Dave R, times change and the way we access information, do business, communicate, etc is continually changing.

Some here on HC have little vision of tomorrow or are too locked into their political parties propaganda to step back and access things with an open mind.

Waiting a few weeks for a response to a letter is a thing of the past.

    Did we need the wheel?
    Did we need cars?
    Did we need radios?
    Did we need TVs?
    Did we need computers?
    Did we need the Internet?
Did we need any of the technology advances man has made?

I'm sure their are those that would have had opposed the above items.

    2000 - 2012

    56k Modem (V.92) released in 2000.

Just over 10 years later we have some people here on HC trying to tell us that our communications network is adequate as it is.

I wonder how many of those people could cope with a 56k modem trying to navigate the Internet and extract some practical benefit from the Internet.

    2012 - 2022

I don't think a 56k modem in a different colour will be sufficient to see us through for the next 10 to 50 years.

The future needs visionaries to lay the ground work for tomorrow and our kids.
