farmboy, as much as i'm sceptical that the NBN is the best solution, a lot of people seem to not understand the difference between wireless internet(i.e 3g and 4g) and wifi. wifi is still reliant on an actual internet connection, whether than be wireless or landline. Most of us have wifi for our wireless home networks, this is the same as at say a McDonalds, they have a wireless network without password that the public can access, but they still have an actual internet connection that is most likely plugged into a landline.
