What would be interesting to know is what 737-800s/900s are operating currently with the 2KU system and are any of these currently grounded?

The Sydney AGM in 2018 I was there and heard Toby mention hundreds of millions in revenue for the APB and WiFi applications. However, there was no clarity as to if he meant every plane in the world being fitted and every model.

There was also another conference call where they stated the equipment to read the sensors themselves was about the same cost as sensors

See page 33 of the document link above. I've always assumed the pink squares represent sensor locations - amounting to 20 sensors for the wifi application.

Regarding the AFB - I've always understood it to be 'a more commercially important' application. My estimates have ranged from, as you say 50 sensors, upwards toward 16 x sensor chains containing 6-8 sensors in each chain. I''l try to find photos where I've taken these assumptions from.
