The following link refers to the wikileaks documents on peak oil - we have 15 years of plateau oil before production starts to diminish - this would suggest that the U boom is likely to be pumped by the obvious need to shift to new energy, not just because of the carbon dioxide problem but just simply because there is not enough oil to go around.
