I think his belief is that nearly everything should be available for pubic scrutiny, that government should not be secret organisations. He concedes there should be some secrets but it should be a rarity and that government should be transparent in the main.

if comparing to this site would be closer to saying we have no right to know what is going on in companies. The continuous disclosure via the asx is not something government has to comply with yet they are far more servants of the people than public companies.
