Been watching some of PNG parliament on YouTube.
Various politicians give their half hour spiel on Bougainville independence. Most are in favour. One prck gave all the reasons why it should be favourable but then came with the angle that it should be dragged out over time. Like it hasn't been already! What a duplicitous bstrd. His true colors show that he certainly doesn't want to give up Panguna mine.
Anyway, at least Bougainville independence is being discussed. And all politicians acknowledge that you cannot argue with a 97.7 % referendum result in favour of independence.
