Hi luxusburger. You seem to have a handle on most things.re your post of the 70 million shares needing to remain below $50 million.
1) The Independent State of PNG holds 19.06% of the BCL shares. EDA minerals - which is a state owned enterprise - holds 17.39% Are these both owned by the PNG government for a total of 36.45%, which is the same as ABG's holding (36.45%) ?
2) Why do you think that only the EDA (17.39%) holding has not been transferred to the ABG? Does that mean that the other19.06% has?
3) Where has that figure of $50 million come from?
4) As I have alluded to in one of my earlier posts. It appeared to me that " an actor" was at play trying to suppress the BOC share price by putting on 15,000 shares to sell at every price point when trading opened, so that it looked like the sell side was heavily stacked. However, this actor did not take advantage of the low share price by scooping up any shares. Why do this? Now, if the amount of stamp duty to pay on the transfer of shares to the ABG is dependent on the BOC share price at the time, and actor may have been acting on behalf of the ABG and stopped the share price from running. They may have borrowed shares from the ABG and basically shorted them. This way if the shares did actually get bought, the ABG would not have to put in a change of substantial holder notice - the actor would just have to buy the shares back on market. So, luxusburger (and anybody else with an interest) - do you think this scenario is a distinct possibility, and if so was the share price jump yesterday to 75 cents the result of a short squeeze?
5) If your answer to point 4) above is NO, to what do you attribute yesterday's share price jump and large trading volume?I'd appreciate any enlightening answers.
