I reckon the Australian Govt would be interested if a big Chinese miner coming to run the magnifying glass over this project. Whilst the there is the Autonomous Bougainville Govt, aren't there still fingers in this pie from the PNG government? Certainly the rhetoric today from the PNG Prime Minister (and ours) talks around Aus not giving up on PNG, so surely that would by default apply to Bougainville? Just my thoughts, and I probably need to brush up on my greater Pacific political boundaries here!
