Exactly right, buddy.
Some may think that shortly we must kick of another bull market.
How many bull markets start in years ending in 8 or 9.
Rare as hen's teeth you might say.
With IMO a 40 year top just starting, I believe we may be just doing a 1970 with a 1974 to come down the track.
I know better, as I know you do, than to guarantee a fixed outcome, and I will never fight a market. I tried that more than once but I always seemed to lose.
If this phase of the bear becomes much deeper and longer, then I will have to consider that the worst is done even if no meaningful advance is achieved for a while.
If we have bottomed or do Aug or Oct, then a rally that could be a year or even two is probably just a chance to take the remaining money from the remaining bulls.
When the baby boomers are more intent on spending their money and their kids have become disillussioned by the market, then perversity will prevail against all the new found wisdom of those preaching markets are just a swindle so keep away.
