Whilst this article discusses the leukemia gene therapy results, it also talks about the issues biotechs in general are having with the FDA only serving it's client, big pharma. It seems ironic, but they have been hindering new more effective cancer treatments since the 70s.

I don't think that the medical profession and cancer patients will stand for this type of bias for much longer.

If you want more evidence on the FDAs reprehensible behaviour, I urge you to look at a recent documentary called Burzynski the Movie: Cancer is serious busines. It is mind blowing and will leave you extremely angry. It is long, as it is a movie. It says it is only available for free in June, but it still appears to be working if you have the time to watch it.
