Geoff Towner currently doing meet and greets/presentations in Syd/Melb etc b4 return Dallas on sat for hook up with US insto's.

FY 06 NPAT will be significantly higher than $15m (analysts estimate more like $19-20)

Polymer workovers about to begin this week (polymer treatment of Kansas acquisition wells up to 30 in total each well to cost up to $50k but fivefold output increase targeted.)

hedging (cap and collar) kicks in this weekend (effective gas price will rise to approx $8 from current sub $7.

drilling Lavaca 3-4 weeks away from start at most (18 well back to back targeting 5bcf-15bcf per well.. likely benefit to AMU between 5 cps and 15+cps per well for each one that comes in)

Grosse Tete high impact wells (follow up from schwing1A) all set to go (dependant upon rig ). Co "very confident" follow next 2 wells will hit. either one will be a company maker!

the geology of the schwing 1A well was exactly as the geological prediction/assumptions had forecast. Only there was no hydrocarbon trace. Apparently the chances of this occuring in a known target region are very low. Hence the high level of confidence in the second and thrid wells in the programs. They are "wells you just have to drill" according to GT. If the science is right why wouldn't you. Also important is the fact that not only are the wells signed off but they're ready to go as soon as a rig is available. "we don't know whether that will be this week or this month".

buyback still in place (amu considers share price "way too cheap")

will NOT in any way part with ARW stake now worth approx 33cps to AMU likely to return $4.5m to amu by way of div 07 (40% ARW NPAT 2b paid out in div)
