I hope that since Tesla accept powerwalls back to their Gigafactory for recycling, that they’ve factored that into their price for Hornsdale too. But even if they haven’t, it’s been so profitable, it could be done retrospectively. I suspect a ZBM2 based grid battery wouldn’t stack up economically yet even accounting for a lower recycling cost. I just don’t see this application as a real opportunity for Redflow now - unlike the many other ones that they’re appropriately targeting first.
