They need a grid scale installation to prove their worth. Small farms here and there and telcomms aren't going to get the limelight.

Putting a strong and persistent sales pitch to even the smaller proposed 50MW solar farms considering batteries is a good bet. Once they can showcase a sizeable, profitable grid scale battery they will have some real interest. Telecomms installs are small and will just keep them out of the red but won't make a great deal of money.
