    There is no doubt that the lateral vs vertical advantage that ESG holds will bode well for the preservation of habitat clusters and corridors. I agree this will be the clincher I feel for the project getting past the environmental concerns on the ground. Building pipelines is a different story but again, it doesn't require vast swathes of forest/scrub to be razed (unlike farming).

    The scrub will inevitably bounce back from any disturbance over time and return to its natural equilibrium over time.

    The storm will be in the groundwater/aquifer issue.

    gasland will promote hysterical and emotional fever in the environmental lobby.. they will come with their bubbling bores, jars of dirty water, carcenogenic drilling fluids (of which ESG do not even use) and empty artesian basins.

    Eventually, reason will prevail and ESG will be able to go in and get the gas..
