The news this morning that Peter Wilkinson will leave David Jones is one heck of a poor victory for the ASA. Its a classic example of impatient halfwits wanting business results to just magically happen. These people have no real understanding of what it takes to build businesses.
Fpr all they are upset about the slow pace of the Foodchain development they could have had the same disaster as CML but they don't.
Getting Wilkinson to announce a departure date is undoubtably one of the stupidist things these people have achieved.
And yes I am a DJS shareholder and yes I would like to see things going better but I've been in retail and growing a brand in these market conditions takes time.
DJS will be doing well to find someone better to replace the man they are about to lose.
Wilkinson to go....blast...
