I really do wish analysts ratings were worth noting. Unfortunately the game is rigged and dissemination of contrary intel is part and parcel of fund management.
Personally I can't embrace the oft quoted notion that markets are only forward thinking.
Markets are driven by people ( which explains their inherent irrationality ).
Smart people employ past experience to predict future outcomes.
Charting is an obvious example.
I have no place in telling you that you are wrong to short the stock.
I do however question the price point at which you chose to do this.
Anyhow, you may be right, you may be wrong.
