It appears that the Australian Navy is so underfunded that it cannot even afford to have a GPS fitted to its ships.
And yet any private fisherman who fishes on the Great Barrier Reef must have one on board so that they do not "INADVERTANTLY" fish in a closed zone.
The idea that sailors on a Navy ship would not know exactly where they are on the ocean in this day and age, with current technology, absolutely beggars belief.
This government now has the military doing their lying for them.
