As I have pointed out on several occasions the current carryons of the Liberals (not to speak of the Nationals) over the HSU affair do not much more than confirm that each and every time Labor gets into power the conservative side of politics will not respect the decision of the people. They will do their utmost to get themselves back where they believe they should be. You think not? Think of Frazer/Whitlam and the absolute disgrace of 1975. More recently think of the "utegate" affair and now we have the latest bit of skullduggery with calls which would effectively result in the usurpation of the peoples choice once again, through the calls for action by the Prime Minister regarding Thompson. The spectacular is on once again with all of the dirty tricks possible being used to try to bring about the end of Gillard's rule. Nothing surprising there and also not surprising that that most determined of politicians Senator Abetz is into it up to his eyeballs. Hardly a day passes when he is not in/on the media trying to have the issue resolved outside the rule of law. His actions need to be condemned; thoroughly and exhaustively. One would hope for his sake that he does not have a repeat of what happened to him over his role in the utegate affair over which he should have promptly resigned from parliament. Will we have an encore?
