I'm amazed people actually think the Rba or any central bank has ever been independant or not politicised.
Chalmers sacked Lowe for what Chalmers thought was raising rates too fast didn't he?
I know it's all mean't to be independant but is it really in reality?

Heres a history of the US Banking system which might bring around some awareness, Andrew Jackson seemed to understand it better than most imo. Not a lot of point looking at the History of Europe and central banks etc because they've had them since cocky was an egg way back to the 1600's maybe even before in a different form, the US History of banking highlights the political struggles associated with it all.
It's also a good read for those interested in banking anyway imo.
