The claim of this patent, filed by Apple Inc, is for: "An electronic device housing formed from a sintered product, further comprising affixing a cover glass to the electronic device housing" made using alumina, specifically, RonaFlair White Sapphire, better known as Alusion, manufactured by ANO, for Merck.
Saint Gobain are one of the world's largest glass and composite materials businesses, the inventors of this composite patent, on behalf of Apple. Alusion is the significant element in the example listed manufacturing components.
