Alusion is aluminium oxide, totally different to ANO’s ZinClear...

Alusion is aluminium oxide, totally different to ANO’s ZinClear zinc oxide product. Merck have licensed the Alusion product from ANO (several years ago for several million euro payment) and brand it as RonaFlair White Sapphire primarily used for cosmetic purposes. ANO has commented for some time that the Alusion product has broader potential use in coatings, 3D printing, composite materials and the like for industrial applications.

The product IP and know how is with ANO, exclusively manufactured by ANO and the license agreement with Merck is up for renewal in a few years, which will either require Merck to pay another licensing fee (cost of which will go up substantially) or ANO will sell the product itself via its existing global distribution network.

Clearly there is a lot of potential for Alusion in both cosmetics and industrial that could be similarly material to ZinClear. This company is no one trick pony.
