"Bluntly, if climate change is fundamental then I would like to know how the Greens/TEAL etc intend to get China onboard because climate change is a world event,"

well, if one is to have an influence at all on China

it sure is a lot easier as a friend than as an enemy.

Australia, as a small nation is charged with the responsibility - as are any nations, regardless of size -

to look after the planet in the best way possible - if that means being a leader - then, that's what one does.

if some lag behind - then, so be it

but, let's not be the laggard

Oz should be smart enough to forge ahead into a high tech world - in a clean and harmonious with nature way

if we cannot do that - then, we fail our responsibility to the earth and to our future children

let's not worry about China - lets worry about what we do first ---------------- and,

the people of Australia have spoken very very clearly - they want action to make a better and cleaner and greener world

it doesn't matter if anyone believes in climate change or not - whether it's man made or not

Aussies have spoken - we want to do it better and cleaner --------- not a difficult concept to understand.
