She was a Labor Premier, her response was that it is virtually impossible to build a dam anywhere in Australia without it being challenged by someone who has to forfeit there land to the project as such, and used the media to protest as well, I remember the locals screaming blue murder, it being such a large project, it has to be someone.

She gave up in the end, and said it was impossible to get any dam built in QLD without offending someone. Oh well I guess no one wants go down that road again because you need to be popular to get votes.

I can see her point though, she's in a better job now, representing the banks, funny that a an ex Labor premier now represents the banks.

I'm sure if she;'d have offered the right amount of compensation for land taken it wouldn't have been an issue. Good excuse for not tying hard though.
