QUEENSLAND Premier Anna Bligh says she feels "absolutely" secure in her job, despite the federal government rebuff over the Traveston dam.Ms Bligh said she had a mandate from the March election win and the issue of southeast Queensland's booming population would remain whoever was premier. The state government says 2000 new residents are arriving every week.Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett on Wednesday said he made the interim decision to reject the controversial $1.8 billion plan to dam the Mary River because evidence showed it could kill off endangered species.Ms Bligh said the federal government's attitude to the Traveston Crossing Dam will make it almost impossible for any dam to win commonwealth approval."This is not the Daintree, this is not the Franklin below Gordon," Ms Bligh told ABC Radio on Thursday.
