OK........... cut out the labor party bull dust
about the Gympie Dam
to build this dam
would have been a huge disaster
a gross waste of tax payers $ billion or so tax
now please don't blame silly anna bligh
it was the over paid Qld public servants idea
to build this dam
against the advice of local Gympie people
the dam would have been super shallow
result algae growth problems
and a totally wild evaporation problem
and then a huge cost of pumping stations to get the water over the range
and a lot MORE !
it was pointed out that
to increase the height of the
Borumba Dam wall
as suggested by numbers of Gympie people
would have solved the problems
and the gov already owned the land
far less pumping, deeper dam would result in less evep, and far less algae growth
and more
and to save annas neck
in comes mr mid night oil, federal
and stops the project
