Why would BHP make an offer for RIO now? Kloppers has them exactly where he want them,BHP can sit back and watch RIO plummet if they dont bid, and come back in 6 months time with a revised MUCH lower bid which the RIO shareholders may well grasp desperatly, as they see it as the only way to get the price back to $100 a share.Personally I think Albanese is backed into a corner by the 600 pound Gorilla and his shareholders will want the best deal they can get which if BHP play their cards correctly wont eventuate until July or August this year.Remember that Kloppers has publicly stated that he is "a patient man"!
