Who buys any penny or sub penny share? People who want to take a punt with a bit of money they can afford to lose. By definition penny shares have poor financial and very speculative prospects. The return could be huge but it's a big gamble and be prepared to lose all.
Or you could ask: why do people frequent casinos or back horses?
