So we have as an aim reducing the spread of illness from the sick to the healthy. Then we compel sick people to go to the doctor. The sick person without a car jumps on the bus or train, spreading the illness to fellow passengers, then waits in the doctors surgery spreading their illness to others in the waiting room. When a person has a transmissible illness (cold/flu) they should isolate. Instead we force them into public space to spread illness by making them go to a doctor, who can do nothing for them. I repeat, it should be illegal for an employer to force an employee to go to a doctor to use their sick leave.
