Most people are only too aware of what the slur-smear-dirt units of our major political parties do ahead of elections and I suspect some even refuse to lodge valid votes to protest just that - one of my nephews is a case in point and it's fair to say that our son just loathes politicians.
A newbie for my seat of Indi at the last federal election was an absolutely sickening pamphlet posted to voters by 'the Church' which misrepresented and denigrated Helen Haines - the people of Indi thereafter demonstrated increased support for her at the ballot box [now on 60:40 in what historically has been one of the Coalition's safest blue ribbon seats].
