Stop loss system is ok.The speculative shares have some risk by their very nature of small Cap ect.They go up & down on annoucements ect.
The volitility of the price will stop you out though.

Yes when do you get back into that share?
If the price falls 20% below the stop you set. At this level it is easier to get back in ( thats if you still believe in the stock and the sharemarket also agrees with you too!)
So not easy to set up a Buy to return.

The sell 50% of holding option does give you the chance of getting some benfit from a possible price rise.
"50% theory you could be only 1/2 as rich as you could be. Or half as poor"

Some type of capital protection is good though.


Remember the brokers like spending you're capital.
Plenty of clients to prop them up!
