they will care once their savvy mate gets one and they finally actually sit in or drive one. Then, it will happen very very quickly.

this is whats haooening now in China, Norway, Sweden, California albeit aided by government incentives to address upfront cost.

once critical mass occurs, it will be very quick. Like every other tech disruption.
