I also think that last year there was an awful lot of gold share liquidation to cover margin calls. Unfortunately, the below graph only shows values up to Dec 08, but I'd expect this to have fallen even further as both banks and investors pulled their heads in during the first quarter of 2009.



It's one area where there will be less pressure than last year.
