Obviously going green is not profitable. AGL has already lost $2Billion on wind project.
To my amazement most of the posts here by shareholders is about solar, wind and other green moves that AGL should make. Isn't 2Billion loss enough already?!
Going green is Fantastic. But who is going to pay for it? AGL Shareholders or All Australia/Government ?
If going green was profitable, everyone had gone green by now. You cannot force any private business to lose money, otherwise they will shut down and walk away and economy will collapse. Same with AGL. If Australia and the Government wants green Elec Generators, then they must help them financially to shift to green energy. The government has already paid Billions of dollars for residential roof top Solar. I cannot understand why Government cannot do the same for Elec Generators?
I think this should be our main concern to be discussed at AGM.
Why CEO is not negotiating this with Government?
