Wind is only profitable if the government allows you to feed the grid. I live near a wind farm that has 50 turbines and the Qld government (Ergon) regulates how much they can produce. Most of the time only 25% of them are running due to the regulation. You can't make money if only a 1/4 of your asset is allowed to produce. Wind and solar aren't reliable enough for base load as Europe found out this year. In my opinion only Gas,Coal,Hydro, Hydrogen and Nuclear are suitable for base load and profitable.
