Of course all 'green' energy is subsidised. There's no way it would exist if it weren't. As the initial commentor mentioned, every power company in the world would be running it if it were actually viable. Same goes for Tesla vehicles.
Of course there's no level playing field - That's Government for you.
This is all real basic stuff guys, I don't see how people don't get this still.
