I agree HGO, however as we know nothing is certain......It's all about reducing risks and then making a move.
My two cents:
-If you look at the fundamentals of a lot of these gold companies (forget that they even produce gold) they are a bit of a cash cow now and this should continue into the future. They are cheaper than when the gold price was around $1300 USD before the pandemic.
-People are looking to put their money anywhere 'safe' as they are worried about inflati0n eating into their savings. Land is going up, in most places for that reason.
-Unemployment did go up during the pandemic, but 95% of people kept their jobs and are sitting on a lot of savings
-People have not been able to travel, go to restaurants etc in lots of places so as covid winds down there is going to be a flurry of activity.
-Any stocks that are not peaked out (FMG/RIO/Tesla etc are peaked out in price) and pay a good divi like: RRL/IFL/ORG/BPT etc, will have good returns.
-In about a year when the party is over we will see people realize that the economy is still f*^%ed the shit might hit the fan again.
I've been buying stocks that are closer to their 1 year low then high and pay a good divi, ideally PE under 20, under 10 if I can find it.
That's the way I'm playing it anyway.............
