That's a good question troyus,

I was asking myself the same question today and so I did some research on the IMF website and found out about their policy.

They have a disruption policy whereby they cannot and will not do anything to disrupt the market.

They have also stated that they will be selling their gold over a 3 yr period to also ensure that they won't disrupt the market.

There are a few people panicking about the sale of their gold however I feel confident that the panic is unwarranted.
