Where do you get NPAT of $350m?
12/11/08 announcement puts NPAT at 614.3 million.
Thus EPS of 36.5c. At $3.00 (latest price) that's a P/E of 8.2 - about the current average of the All Ords.
Next earnings period may be different, granted.
I expect a slump once it goes ex-div, as almost all do.
I seriously thought it would go closer to $2.50 (I reckoned $2.70 - SPP + dividend, since the entitlement doesn't give divvies), and it did get near that ($2.80ish) but there seemed to be a lot of support to keep it around $3.00.
Suits me fine. Anyway, I bought a parcel at $2.99 (my first), for a LT hold. I will buy my second and third parcels pending on where the price goes. If it goes down, I will buy more. If it goes up, I will simply sit on it.
