Panicked and bought at 2.08. Would much prefer 7% more shares at 1.95.
Mr Market has handed me another lesson. Oh well. Still, close to decade lows.
IPL's share issue merely to repay debt is dull work. Explosives volumes will be down on less steaming coal, party offset by more mining activity elsewhere. Fertiliser volumes and prices will be up on the breaking of the drought. The major significance of this has been masked by CV-19.
Let me gesture to the new Sulphate of Potash industry developing in WA from the salt lakes. This is a world-class opportunity and IPL ought to be all over it. It needs to upgrade its fertiliser offering to PNK. It has Phosphorus and Nitrogen in hand, needs to add Potassium. (I hold KLL)
